Brilliant Strokes Interactive Exhibit

Brilliant Strokes Interactive Exhibit
The Brilliant Strokes Interactive Exhibit features many of the exquisite paintings from the University of Alberta Museums’ exhibition Brilliant Strokes: Chinese Paintings from the Mactaggart Art Collection on display from September 18, 2008 to January 24, 2009 in the University of Alberta’s Gallery A at the Telus Centre, 87 Avenue & 111 Street, Edmonton, Alberta.

Spanning a period of 500 years, from the 15th century Ming dynasty to the 20th century, these works illustrate the diversity of format and function among Chinese paintings, the variety of subject matter, the range of backgrounds and training among painters, and the array of brushstroke styles.

The interactive exhibit allows the user to view additional objects not on display in the exhibition, to zoom in and view details up close, and to view entire handscrolls. Online help is provided for ease of use.
